Guerrero - 100% ownership of over 81,330 hectares within the Guerrero Gold Belt (“GGB”), located in Guerrero State, Mexico. The GGB is a significant emerging gold mining district hosting a gold bearing iron skarn-porphyry mineralizing system. The district includes Goldcorp’s Bermejal, Nukay and Los Filos deposits, and Gleichen Resources Limon-Los Guajes deposit. The GGB has an inventory of over 12 million ounces of gold, which continues to increase with ongoing exploration and/or mine development activites. All GGB participants are currently active in the area. Newstrike's management team was instrumental in the discovery of over eight million of those gold ounces.
Newstrike today controls an important strategic position within this significant gold camp. The large contiguous land package is divided into two early stage exploration projects: Aurea Norte and Aurea Sur.
Oaxaca - 100% ownership in over 74,460 hectares within an emerging silver and gold bearing polymetallic epithermal mineralizing district in Oaxaca State, Mexico, that is host to the historic Taviche, San José, Ejutla, and Lachigalla Mining Districts, amoung others. The large non-contiguous land package is divided into three early stage exploration projects: Ejutla I, Ejutla II and Zimatlán.
The Ejutla II concession is adjacent to Aura Silver Resources Inc’s Higo Blanco discovery on their Alma Dehlia property that recently reported very encouraging exploration results. The area also hosts the soon to be producing San Jose Mine under development by owner, Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. The first skarn-porphyry style discovery for the area is located at the Cobre Grande copper-zinc-molybdenite-silver (Cu-Zn-Mo-Ag) skarn-porphyry deposit (formerly Linear Metals Corporation).
